in 2005.
The Act makes Ontario the first jurisdiction in Canada to develop,
implement and enforce mandatory
accessibility standards in customer service, transportation, information
and communications, built environment, and employment.
The Customer Service Standard is the first standard to be in place.
Private and non-profit sector organizations must comply with the
Customer Service standard by January 1st, 2012.
