PLANNING YOUR SUPER CONFERENCE IS THE KEY TO A GREAT EXPERIENCE...
New Members
As a thank you for joining your 5,000 colleagues in the Ontario Library Association, OLA will waive the administrative surcharge up to Jan. 30. Register through the New Member's category on the on-line registration form to avoid this charge.
New members and first-timers at Super Conference are also invited to be the guests of the OLA Board of Directors at a special reception before the opening plenary session on Wednesday evening.
Start with the Super Conference personal planner!
When you click on My Super Conference in the Super Conference Web site, you will be taken to your most powerful ally in ensuring that you have a great experience in February. My Super Conference is an online tool that allows you to create a schedule by adding sessions from the full descriptions that are under each day and time.
You can pick more than one possibility in each time slot and return to add to the list at your leisure. By checking the boxes beside the sessions you've added to your schedule and clicking "View final schedule", you can continually revise a "printer-friendly" final schedule. All of your choices are stored in a cookie to allow you to return to your personal schedule at any time. Each time you view your schedule, it will be automatically updated if a session changes or is withdrawn by a speaker.
The common events such as all-conference plenary events and receptions will automatically appear in your schedule.
'My Super Conference' is your key to planning your personal experience at Super Conference 2006.

Networking not enough?
Try OLA's mentor services.
Take real initiative.
Give a poster session.
Participate as a writer.
There are other ways to participate directly in the Super Conference. One of them is to be a reporter, a commentator, a catalyst for discussion.
THE CONFERENCE BLOG
This is as good as the people who take the time to comment on what is happening - the ideas and concepts being presented by speakers and by colleagues in sessions and at social events. What are you observing that matters? What do you think about the perceptions of your colleagues? It is all about sharing.
THE SESSION BLOGS
Each session has its own blog in which you can comment on what you have heard, even as you are hearing it. Dialogue can enrich and extend the presentations. The blogs will have other uses from speakers providing readings to posing questions to think about in advance of the session. Discussion in individual session blogs will be referenced in the Conference blog so that you can see where comment is happening.
THE DAILY NEWS
Super News will focus on analysis of larger trends in the program and the conference.

Share your right brain ideas and innovations!
What are the creative connections we have made and the innovations we have created?
What are we working on? What is to come? How innovative are we?
THE INNOVATION TREE
In the Registration Lobby of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and in EXPO 2006, there are trees on which delegates are urged to post a sentence on the innovations they have been part of that have made a difference. When the Globe and Mail comes, what will be there to tell them how we impact our society?
Be part of the solution...
OLA's Africa
Craig Kielburger, Stephen Lewis, we were not only moved by your speeches last year, we are ready to build our first combined school and public library in Africa. Every delegate must give $10 to make this happen but that is all we need. Together we can make a difference - easily. We are the solution. Take part.
