Poster sessions at Super Conference

THURSDAY/FRIDAY POSTER SESSION DESCRIPTIONS

WHEN AND WHERE:
February 3-4, 2005
EXPO 2005, Hall C,
Metro Toronto Convention Centre

WHAT IS A POSTER SESSION?
Poster sessions are an effective forum for the exchange of information among conference delegates and a means to communicate ideas, research, and programs.

Poster sessions can be on a wide variety of topics, such as:

  • a description of an innovative library program or a successful curriculum collaboration
  • an analysis of a practical problem-solving effort
  • a display of a successful event, activity, or production
  • a marketing campaign
  • results of a research project.

Participants place materials such as pictures, data, graphs, diagrams and narrative text on 8' x 4' boards supplied by OLA on site. In the assigned time periods, participants are expected to stay with the display to discuss it informally with conference attendees.

RECOGNITION
If accepted, registration will be waived for one person for the day on which the poster session is to appear. The fee returned will be based on dividing the conference fee paid by the number of days attending. You, your project and your colleagues will be included in the Super Conference 2005 Official Program. Extra copies of the program will be available for your portfolio upon request.
