Here’s how!

 2.   Gather and Document Evidence

        Research Folders

What is it?

What does it look like?

A research folder is an organizational tool to support the research process.  It should contain all student work from the four stages of research (preparing, accessing resources, processing information and transferring learning).  It should also provide prompts for each stage of learning.

What does it tell me?

  • That students are following the research process
  • That some students may need additional support or modifications
  • Evidence of the impact of information literacy skills on the final product
  • When a conference is necessary to keep a student on track
  • That students are practising academic honesty
