What does it look like?

Conferencing is used to discuss student work and progress.  It can be teacher to student, peer to peer, or student to parent.  Conferences can be formal or informal.

What does it tell me?

• That students are following a process/assignment
• That students are growing in independence
• That some students need more support
• That the process or expectations
  were not clear
• That modifications need to be made
  for a student or in an assignment
• That knowledge and understanding
  has grown over time
