 2.   Gather and Document Evidence

        Collaborative Learning       

Students work in groups to achieve a common purpose.  Each member of the group takes on a specific responsibility within the assignment, becoming the expert in that area.  The assignment is teacher directed and the roles are student directed.  The dynamics and contributions should be documented in a collaborative learning log.

• If the students understand the collaborative nature of a team situation
• What strengths each individual can bring to that situation
• What areas need to be targeted for improvement individually and as a group or team
