The Ontario School Library Association has prepared various additional support materials to assist with teaching research and inquiry skills in all grade 11 courses, and the school library's role supporting grade 11 implementation. The package consists of:

Research and Inquiry Skills in the Grade 11 Curriculum: Role of the School Library This slide show, whose intended audience is teachers, has sections which deal with Information Literacy, the Inquiry and Research strand in Grade 11 Courses, and School Library Supports (Collaborative Planning, the OSLA Inquiry and Research Model, Teaching the Inquiry and Research Process, and Resource Support).

The Four Stages of Inquiry and Research: a Student Guide This slide show, whose intended audience is students, provides a detailed guide on preparing for research, accessing resources, processing information, and transferring learning. Special attention is paid in the section on processing information on assessing the quality of print and electronic resources, note making, and the ethics of information use (avoiding plagiarism).
