Rights of the Child
UN Rights of the Child An adaptation of the full text of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. This easy to read and access document can be used directly with older students and can be modified for use with younger students.
Download of pamphlet of Rights of Child Available from the UN United Kingdom site, this pamphlet is a wonderful resource to use with all students. It outlines the same information described above, but in a very readable, colourful format. The resource can also be ordered from the UK directly.
Postcard Throughout the units students are urged to contact word leaders, newspapers and other media outlets to let them know their opinion concerning the rights of children everywhere. This postcard can be downloaded and printed on card stock for the students to use for a postcard writing campaign, or they can design and send their own.
