Instructions For EMPLOYERS
LOCATING YOUR CAREER OPPORTUNITIES...
Positions are organized in this Web site by the level of education requested by an employer.
Go to our Job Listings and choose from:
GRADUATE EDUCATION
MLS, MIS and other graduate degrees
COLLEGE EDUCATION
Library Techniques, Information Studies and other diplomas
Within the Job Hot Site, positions are listed by the date posted, the newest offerings being listed first. The positions in the Job Hot Site are as described to us by employers or their representatives. By listing such positions, the Ontario Library Association does not endorse these firms, nor accept any responsibility for the accuracy of the content, remuneration, or qualifications described in the posted positions. Any clarifications about a particular posting should be directed to the employer in question.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The goal of this subject area is to connect OLA with libraries that have volunteer positions available. Volunteering allows those new to the library industry to gain valuable workplace experience to help with their career development.
Click to view the current volunteer opportunities.
Libraries: Please forward your current postings for volunteer opportunities to the attention of Trevor Balla at the OLA via e-mail at tballa@accessola.com.
DATABANK
We are often requested to maintain résumés in our database. A program has been developed for OLA which allows members to store their résumés in a databank that will be searchable by employers. A member need not be unemployed to use this service. This service came on line in September 2001 as part of the new suite of services "For Members Only".
