OHLA Delivers
- An easily accessible website linking to articles from our quarterly newsletter; links to various conferences and continuing education events.
- An annual conference held each January with the Ontario Library Association.
- Networking opportunities that include the largest to the smallest one-person library so they may connect with their colleagues to answer questions, share resources, or to find a new job.
- Opportunities for both student and regular members to develop their leadership skills by serving as a member of the OHLA Executive
- Opportunities for writing or sharing news in our quarterly newsletter.
Membership Benefits
- Benefits of membership include access to continuing educational events offered throughout the year and several annual conference sessions at a reduced price.
- A Membership Directory is distributed only to our members so they may keep current as to the comings and goings of library staff and to nurture the collegial contacts that enhance our professional activities.
- A members' listserv provides us with opportunities to share news, to ask questions and to develop topical conversations.
- OHLA members enjoy special membership discounts to key electronic resources, as negotiated by the OHLA's E-Licensing Coordinator
- Ontario students from college library technician programs and university library science programs may become members through our offer of a 50% discount on our annual membership fee. Retiree and non-working membership discounts are also available.
- Our membership year runs from January - December.
