Deborah Ellis is the author of 20 books for young people. Her work has taken her all over the world and has allowed her to meet with people who are on the receiving end of some very bad decisions by the rich and powerful - decisions to allow others to live in great poverty, decisions to allow diseases to spread that we are capable of curing or controlling, and decisions to go to war. She lives in Simcoe, Ontario, and her favourite thing to do is to pick blueberries.
