Can people work together to survive?
Through the eyes of a child narrator we are led through the emotional landscape of fear, loss and love as a child refugee finds shelter in the caring arms of the Braal family. Set in Holland during the final days of the World War II each chapter presents a new challenge which requires cooperative spirit to overcome dangers of conflict. Although Brave Deeds is a story over sixty years old, the lessons shared are very relevant today.
