Eleven-year old Billy suffers from Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Billy's frustration and feelings of hopelessness are evident throughout every aspect of his life; a life that changes when he meets Natasha.  Natasha is an adopted Romanian girl who lives across the street from Billy who chooses not to talk.  Billy and Natasha develop a warm friendship of support and strength that provides them both with courage and helps them to understand others.
