Twelve-year-old Peggy Henderson is staying with her aunt and uncle in Crescent Beach B.C. while her mother has gone job-hunting to Toronto. After her uncle discovers an ancient Salish burial site, Peggy learns a great deal about herself, the Coast Salish aboriginals, archaeology, and various kinds of relationships and trust.
