Yvonne Prinz was born in Edmonton, Alberta. She started writing VERY short stories at the age of six and dreamed of becoming a novelist one day. She now lives in the San Francisco Bay area where she and her husband founded an independent record store called Amoeba Music (amoebamusic.com). Yvonne writes almost every day and loves it.
Still There, Clare, Yvonne's first YA novel and the first book in "The Clare Series" was published in 2004. The Clare character is loosely based on Yvonne's life growing up in Canada. NOT FAIR, CLARE is the second book of the series and DOUBLE DARE CLARE, the third book in the series hit the bookstores in June. All three Clare books were published by Raincoast, Canada.
STILL THERE, CLARE was a Booksense pick and it was nominated for an IPPY and a Red Cedar Award.
A TV series based on the "CLARE SERIES" is currently in development with the Family Channel in Canada.
"THE VINYL PRINCESS", Yvonne's book about a sixteen year-old girl who works in a record store will be published by Harper Collins in 2010, followed by "ALL YOU GET IS ME" in 2011. Currently, Yvonne is working on a movie she wrote called "Our Daily Bread" which will be shot in Vancouver.
