"Every little breeze seems to whisper Louise..." This phrase, from the signature tune once sung by Maurice Chevalier, included on the dedication page, sets the stage for the appearance of the title character, the omnipresent little sister, Louise, and introduces a whimsical tale of kinship.

Big brother Jake is desperately craving a little space and some time on his own. Unfortunately, little sister, Louise is totally oblivious to Jake's pleas for privacy. In desperation he makes a wish that could change their relationship forever. The loving bond between siblings prevails however, and all ends happily.
