Friends of the Lindsay Public Library is a voluntary, charitable association, that supports the extension of services and resources of our Library. It is also dedicated to improving community awareness and enjoyment of our Library services. These aims will be enabled through the fund raising efforts of the group.
Friends support of the Library will be in accord with the policies of the Lindsay Public Library Board, and could include providing assistance in the financing of special Library projects, or the purchase of equipment and reading resources. The establishment and operation of a home service for shut-ins is another project envisioned by many in the group. These are just a few of the many avenues of assistance that could be undertaken by the Friends group.
The Friends asks that you support its fund raising efforts, and also to consider lending additional support by becoming a member of the Friends. As a member, you could become involved in the planning and carrying out of some very exciting projects, or play a less active role by being part of the cheering section for those more actively engaged.
