How Do Friends Support Their Libraries?
Presented by Dorothy Macnaughton

Friends of Canadian Libraries (FOCAL) will demonstrate how Friends groups can support libraries in local communities. Friends raise funds, often for specific library programs, such as the Books for Babies programs, for furniture, equipment or for capital campaigns. FOCAL will provide information and resources for libraries interested in forming a Friends group or supporting an existing Friends group.

Friends of the Library: Enhancing Your Library in Your Community
Presented by Dorothy Macnaughton

In this session, you will learn how Friends of the Library groups support their libraries and their communities. You will learn the value of having a Friends group to raise funds, raise the library’s profile, advocate as needed, and network with other community organizations. Friends enable the library to provide enhanced programs and services and are visible and active in the community for your library.
