9.a.m. – 10.15.a.m. – OPENING SESSION PANEL DISCUSSION: “AN UPDATE ON FUNDING AND GAMING” - with ROB LAVERY, SOUTHERN ONTARIO LIBRARY SERVICE, TINA TUCKER, FRIENDS OF THE THUNDER BAY PUBLIC LIBRARY – and representatives from the Ontario Gaming Commission. The session will offer current status of provincial government policy and regulations relating to Foundations and Charities.  Convenor: Jami van Haaften.

10.30.a.m. – 11.45.a.m. – Two Concurrent Sessions:

A) “RUNNING A SUCCESSFUL BOOK SALE” – FRIENDS OF THE LONDON PUBLIC LIBRARY – Presenters: Viola Poletes and Grand McKillop. Convenor: Hilary Bates Neary.

B) “FRIENDS AND RELATIONS” - featuring  “THE THREE CEO’S” - Caroline Hallsworth from Sudbury Public Library, Geoff Nie from Ajax Public Library and Robert Hubsher from Cornwall Public Library discussing their relationship with Friends Groups.

0LUNCH – followed by “Round Table” discussions on such topics as membership, fundraising, challenges for rural libraries, definition of roles . . . you choose!!!.
