Friends of the Wiarton Branch of the Bruce County Library - Friends of the Year Award Winner 2002 - The library in Wiarton is now housed in a 3,000 square foot facility opened in November 2002. The Friends accepted responsibility for furnishing the new library, setting a goal of $25,000 (which they exceeded).
The Friends of Nepean Public Library Honourable Mention Award from the Ottawa Citizen Literacy Foundation in 2002 to honour their support of the "Joy of Reading" program.
