My mentor in librarianship would be Pat Elliott. I had a vision of how I would like my library to be but it was Pat that motivated and guided me as a beginning librarian in Part I and a little later as a TL working on the first online course that Pat moderated. Pat's confidence and knowledge in librarianship and technology set me on the path as a Library Specialist. Her guidance in the use of technology encouraged me to explore educational technology in greater depth. Pat's commitment to lifelong learning motivated me to become an Instructional Leader and to pursue a graduate degree. She has a true commitment to Teacher Librarianship and shares her vision with Administrators, System Leaders and Classroom Teachers. To quote Pat, she has made sure there are very "like minded TL's" in Simcoe County and beyond.
